Is it time to send new tanks to Ukraine? No, thanks!

The latest weeks of battles and horror in the Bakhmut and Soledar areas, plus the appointment of General Gerasimov to overview Russia’s operations, told us that Russia is stepping up its military strategy. And it’s not good news at all.

In a few days, thousands of young soldiers died on both sides. In addition, we witnessed cities destroyed and the use of ballistic missiles that aren’t interceptable by any missile’s shield.

So, is it time to send new tanks to Ukraine? Or what is a possible alternative?

As we mentioned in our previous post, the Western strategy brought only more deaths and destruction to Ukrainians. In addition, NATO has thrown billions of money and weapons into a conflict that can’t be sustained in the long term. Tragically, we witness how quickly Russia redeploy soldiers, firearms and ammunition daily and how long it takes for Ukraine instead.

Ukraine must wait for NATO decisions, logistic organization and, most importantly, to convince countries that are starting to feel the pain of this conflict and the senseless strategy adopted by the West.

It tells us two things:

  • Ukraine doesn’t exist anymore as a nation. It doesn’t have an economy, and it relies on West money and weapons;
  • In the long term, Russia will win what now becomes a war.

Why is Russia going to win the war?

After what we said, we have a clear picture of reality. Despite the West’s lies about the lack of ammunition, weapons and morale among the Russians reported since March 2022, Russia is now starting to show their real potential. Let’s make it clear, Russia, fortunately, didn’t escalate yet what remains a military operation

But the military operation is evolving into a war.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, the West propaganda mocked them for their incompetence and disorganization on the battlefield. Nevertheless, president Biden was so happy that he called for action to remove President Putin. The West thought they could change Russia’s regime by imposing sanctions and breaking the Russian military so that protests may start in Russia and overthrow Putin.

But some details make Russia different from Iraq or Libya. The strategy is clearly not working, and Russia must change its approach to end the war. Russia didn’t destroy Ukraine at the beginning of the invasion. Instead, they had a gentle method for how complicated it may sound. They tried to limit the damages by reaching Kyiv, removing Zelensky from his role, and probably restoring Yanukovich as president.

The West started to send weapons and weapons instead of using diplomacy.

Instead of assessing the situation, the West started to pump weapons into Ukraine to test the capabilities of the Russian military. But unfortunately, the approach and a couple of setbacks brought Russia into the position to change the strategy. As a result, the rains of missiles and soldiers are destroying Ukraine now.

Why the West must not send tanks now.

First, the West itself is running out of ammunition and weapons. They don’t have the capabilities to supply Ukraine at the same pace Russia can with their soldiers. It gives us an idea of Russia’s power, despite Western claims. Only Poland, till June 2022, sent more than 200 tanks to Ukraine. But also thousands of other weapons from all over the NATO countries. In addition, during the contro-offensive in Kharkiv, Ukraine got several tanks and weapons from Russia itself.

And what did Ukraine achieve?

Someone may say the “liberation” of Kherson and Kharkiv. Right, but are those cities free and safe? Did Ukraine fight, or was Russia that abandoned their positions? It’s just propaganda. The reality is that Ukraine is on its knees, and if Russia decides to launch an offensive in Kyiv, it risks ending its existence. The West sent systems to intercept missiles, but the energy infrastructures have been mostly destroyed anyway.

Russia is using ballistic missiles now that not even NATO can intercept.

  • What will they send to Ukraine?
  • How many tanks are necessary to liberate Crimea or the Donbas? Probably thousands and other hundred thousands of new soldiers.
  • Does Ukraine have them? No, and NATO can’t supply them.

But, if those weapons should reach Ukraine, then we will be a step closer to WW3, with all the nuclear implications we already know.

Is the West going mad?

We must understand that Russia is a superpower, and the West is doing everything possible to transform the military operation into a war. It’s dangerous, scary and horrible. The people of the West must wake up from the propaganda and ask for peace negotiations and compromises on all sides.

What can happen if Russia starts a war?

Russia can seriously start to use aviation, ballistic missiles and other 500 thousand soldiers. If Ukraine is struggling with only 200K Russians, imagine what it will mean to add another 500K on the battlefield.

Russia can destroy energy infrastructures, railways, airports, and communication systems, causing horrible collateral damages to millions of civilians.

Russia may cause the biggest migrant crisis in Europe.

A violent invasion will destroy Kyiv and significant parts of Ukraine. It will force millions of people to seek help and hospitality in Europe, but there is a minor detail to consider: the EU isn’t ready to manage it. So we must think because the implication and consequences are dangerous now.

Is the West ready for this tragedy?

Now that we have understood that to defeat Russia, Ukraine needs thousands of tanks, weapons, missiles, men and who knows what else, can we condemn the West’s strategy and ask, instead, for negotiations?

A possible alternative to end the war?

Chancellor Scholtz is facing pressure from extremist allies like Poland to send new tanks to Ukraine. Scholtz is, fortunately, resisting. But what, instead, if Scholtz and Macron fly to Moscow to negotiate new conditions?

For example, the West won’t send any new weapons to Ukraine and Russia stops its military operation. Then propose a solution that must involve a compromise. There is no other way out. Ukraine will lose only the Donbas and Crimea; Russia leaves the other occupied territories and doesn’t invade Kyiv. The United States will sign deals where Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine would never join NATO, but they offer protection to them.

It’s one of the possible solutions. That’s why negotiation tables are needed immediately.

Some of you will say that this is crazy. Only Ukraine can decide its future. Then OK, but without weapons or money coming from the West. Otherwise, the West has all the right to find the best solution to end the war. But, most importanty, the West has the duty to prevent a tragic escalation of the conflict that may cause million of deaths and the biggest migrant crisis ever.

That’s why we have politicians and not generals; because they must work on diplomatic solution, instead of reading the last catalogue of weapons available. As we mentioned, compromises are needed. It’s not time anymore for fairytales and extremists.

Those who care for Ukraine must push for peace talks and accept compromises. But, as we tried to describe, Ukraine’s military situation can get terribly worse, and the luxury of negotiations and concessions won’t exist anymore.

Wise people work to avoid wars and deaths. Are we still wise? That’s the question.
